Purchase Questions

Is this a real factory backed extended warranty?
Yes, as a franchised dealer, we are authorized to sell Mopar Vehicle Protection plans backed by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles(FCA), for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Ram vehicles.
Who/what is Stellantis?
Historical Timeline
  • 1925 - Chrysler Corporation was founded by Walter Chrysler
  • 1998 - Acquired by Daimler-Benz - renamed DaimlerChrysler
  • 2007 - Divested by Daimler-Benz - renamed Chrysler LLC
  • 2009 - Renamed as Chrysler Group LLC
  • 2014 - Acquired by Fiat S.p.A. - renamed Fiat Chrysler Automobiles ("FCA")
  • 2021 - Merges with Peugeot Société Anonyme and becomes Stellantis

Why are your prices so much less than my local dealer?
Since we sell to a national market, instead of just to our local market, we are able to offer volume pricing to our customers.
Can I buy an extended warranty for my vehicle if I didn't purchase it from you?
Yes, ChryslerWarrantys.com can provide a policy for almost any vehicle that is less than 10 years old and has less than 125,000 miles, regardless of where you purchased the vehicle.
What if I am the second owner of the vehicle, will I still qualify?
Yes, it doesn't matter how many owners there have been, as long as the vehicle qualifies by age and mileage.
Is there any benefit to buying an extended warranty while still under warranty?
As with any other product, service contracts are subject to inflationary price increases. By purchasing a Chrysler extended warranty now, you can lock-in at today's cost. Plus, you may be entitled to benefits in addition to the basic factory Chrysler warranty, such as car rental, lodging and meal reimbursement for warranty repairs required when you're traveling. Your plan can even include emergency roadside service for a jump-start, gasoline delivery, tire change, locksmith service, road hazard tire protection and lost key retrieval.
When can I purchase Mopar Vehicle Protection?
New Vehicle plans can be purchased anytime within 3 years and 36,000 miles of the vehicle's warranty start date (the date the vehicle was delivered to its original owner). Surcharges may apply after 1 year or 12,000 miles.
Certified Pre-Owned plans can be purchased on Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep®, and Alfa Romeo vehicles with an active, Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty and an odometer that reads less than 75,000 miles. Traditional Pre-Owned Vehicle plans can be purchased on vehicles that are no more than 10 model years old and with an odometer that reads less than 125,000 miles. Your dealer will complete a Vehicle Inspection to ensure the vehicle is eligible for coverage.
Most – but not all – Convenience and Maintenance (non-mechanical) plans can be purchased on vehicles that are no more than 10 model years old and with an odometer that reads less than 125,000 miles. Some Convenience and Maintenance (non-mechanical) plans have specific enrollment rules. Please visit your local dealer for details.
Do you offer an interest-free payment plan?
We do not offer payment plans. We offer low prices instead. Since we do not inflate our prices to hide the cost of the payment plan, we can pass the savings on to you. Some dealers may even say "No Interest Financing" and then charge you a hefty "Administration Fee". Does that really sound like "No Interest Financing" to you? Think of our pricing as "no frills" pricing.
Do you offer plans to Florida residents?
Florida pricing is regulated. Plans sold to anyone that uses a Florida address must be sold at the full retail price by a Florida dealer. If you have an address that you could use to register the plan outside of Florida, you could do so and save hundred$ off of Florida pricing.
What documentation will I receive upon the purchase of Mopar Vehicle Protection?
When you purchase genuine Mopar Vehicle Protection from a Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, Alfa Romeo or Jeep dealer, you will receive a personalized plan provision in the mail about 3 weeks later. The plan provision will provide a detailed description of the benefits, coverage, terms and conditions of your plan. You can obtain a copy of your personalized plan provisions from the My Current Plan section of www.moparvehicleprotection.com. If you don't receive your plan provisions in the mail or it's not available from My Current Plan, call Mopar Vehicle Protection at 1-800-521-9922 and we'll send you another copy.

General Questions

When does coverage under my Chrysler extended warranty begin and end?
Mopar Vehicle Protection is offered with a wide variety of time and mileage terms, typically up to 8 years and 125,000 miles.
New Vehicle plan coverage and Certified Pre-Owned Vehicle plan coverage begin on the vehicle's warranty start date (the date the vehicle was delivered to its original owner) and at zero miles. This coverage does not begin upon expiration of the new vehicle warranty. .
For example: Your vehicle's warranty start date is July 1, 2012 and the odometer reads 10,000 miles. You purchase a 5-Year / 60,000-Mile Maximum Care plan on November 1, 2014. Your coverage starts on July 1, 2012 and expires on July 1, 2017 or when your odometer reads 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first. .
Traditional Pre-Owned Vehicle plan coverage and most – but not all – Convenience and Maintenance (non-mechanical) coverage begin on the date and mileage when you purchase the plan. .
For example: If you have a 2009 Chrysler vehicle with 50,000 miles on the odometer and on August 1, 2014, you purchase a 2-Year / Unlimited Mileage traditional Pre-Owned plan. Your coverage starts on August 1, 2014 and expires on August 1, 2016.
How do I obtain Plan Service under my Chrysler extended warranty?
Chrysler extended warranty plans are honored at all Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat or Alfa Romeo dealerships in the United States, Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico or Mexico. You should always contact the nearest dealer for warranty assistance.
What is the difference between the original Warranty and a Service Contract?
Your original Warranty is given to you by the Manufacturer and protects the vehicle against product defects for a certain amount of time or mileage. A Mopar Vehicle Protection Plan is even more protection that you can purchase that provides you with coverage for specific components that goes past the Manufacturer's Warranty period and extends vehicle protection for the certain amount of time and mileage that you can select. Terms such as Chrysler extended warranty, Dodge extended warranty and Jeep extended warranty are used interchangeably with the term service contract within this site.
